Day 1: Guilford, CT

Getting to Guilford, CT was definitely a feat. Woke up at 3:30am, got to the airport by 4:45am, was held up by a flight attendant who didn’t feel like getting to work on time, and was finally in the air by about 6:15 or so. Following that, I landed in Philly where I decided to get to my gate before finding food. That was the dumbest idea ever because my gate was in the smallest and furthest away wing where there was barely even coffee. Then, I got on this 20 person plane (AH!) and flew to New Haven, CT. The New Haven airport is super small, so they basically just handed me my bags and I got in my taxi. The taxi took me on a 20 minute ride right to the training center…where I was greeted by one of the trainers immediately. I didn’t even get 2 seconds to freshen up before I walked into the training class and had to introduce myself. I got there around 1:30pm, so I had just missed lunch. At around 5 we headed to the hotel in our van that we had for the week.

Once I checked into the hotel and got situated, I went out to eat with the 6 other people in my training class. One of the guys in our class (Angelo) was actually from Connecticut originally and his uncle owned a restaurant not too far from where we were. It was this amazing Italian restaurant and we all had such a great time hanging out and eating great food!
